Piper Cooperrider-Young

pursuing Flight Instructor rating

Piper is working on her Commercial Pilot Certificate through Central Washington University’s aviation program. She was introduced to the world of aviation when touring colleges and was instantly enthralled. Through the setbacks of the Covid-19 pandemic, Piper continued to fly, earning her Private License and Instrument Rating. She is currently a junior in college and plans to get her CFI so she can pass on her love of flying to a new generation of student pilots. When not flying, Piper works line service at the airport and tutors in mathematics. She is an active member in Women in Aviation and AOPA. Piper is incredibly grateful for this scholarship and wants to thank everyone involved in the process.
