It wasn’t until her late twenties that Christine Potje took her very first flight in a small aircraft, a Cirrus SR22. Within six months she walked into her local FBO signed up for a discovery flight and three months later earned her private pilots license. Currently, Christine is finishing up her Instrument Rating, then will transition to Commercial, following with CFI and CFII.
Her passion is aviation. She has already taken her family up flying and her 1 year old daughter and 3 year old son love to be in the air. “Seeing that passion and adventure in my kids eyes is what has drawn me to teach aviation” Christine says. He goal is to bring aviation into her local schools so kids get an opportunity they otherwise probably would never get to experience.
In her spare time, Christine loves exploring new airfields and talking with their local pilots. She has flown from Louisiana to California in a 182 and plans on many more long cross-country trips. “The other pilots I get to talk to, the sights I get the see and the freedom of flying is why I have my private pilots license!”
